I find it to be a very amusing photo, I would be there with a big TRUCK just loading them all up! cyclops I think I see some US made liners, at least, in there? We sold them a lot of our destroyers, so why not helmets? (Thinking about the ARA Belgrano, the USS Phoenix, WWII destroyers who survived Pearl Harbor and every major pacific campaign only to be sunk by the British in some ridiculous war in the 80s makes me cringe) Also, it may be worth considering why all these helmets are here? They don't seem to be in a too orderly line. I assume the British might have been using the kevlar by this time? Or still been using turtle? I don't think they ever did a M-1 design, so my guess would be these are Argentine helmets??

Yes I believe they are Argentine helmets after a mass surrender and Im guessing thats a Brit in the background, on another forum there was a cool thread about captured helmets from the faukland war, there were some Faukland War vets on the forum showing off some of there bring backs!...I will try to find a link for you and post it or PM it to you....mike

Those are US made M1 from various eras, mainly WWII, with reconditioned US liners.

Here are a couple of them on an auction site from Argentina. Highly unlikely these ever saw combat in the Falklands though:

affraid Sad I had a feeling those would be US, it makes me sad to think of all those WWII, Korea, etc. M1s being abused! Do I see some WWII airbornes in there?

Good topic....Here's an Example of one of the M1's that was, " rescued" from the Falklands in 1982,by a very very good mate of mine, who donated it to my collection.
