Hi guys,

Here is one of my best lids, it belonged to a first lieutenant, F. MINSTER wounden in Italy

1st infantry division Atkqs4

It’s a Mc Cord shell and 2nd pattern Hawley liner.

Helmet shell and liner are marked with the rank insignia and the bid reg one patch

I hope you will appreciate that display

Regards

I own a first division also and would you believe that it also has what appears to be a greyish "wash" over the pot like yours. Do you know anything about that? I'm amazed. I thought it was just something the soldier did on his own because of some wear and corrosion, but it appears to have been done on others as well.

Would love to hear from you.
