This one was bought about 25-30 years ago when the USS Wisconsin or the Iowa was going in for a rehab. Crates of these were sold off. I wish I had bought more of them, but that was when a regular helmet with liner, complete, was only going for about $10-15 and these were IIRC about $35-45ish. That was a lot for a helmet then, even that nice. Front Seam, Swivel bail, Westinhouse Liner. Some of you may think this is a repro/redo, but that stuff wasn't being done back then, so I know for sure this is real, and UN-ISSUED never worn condition. Enjoy!

Really,really nice collection there....you are the king of Mint, which is great because your lids,are a brilliant ref point ,for peole like myself,starting out in the Crazy world of M1 collecting....your collection is highly desirable Wink


Ever thought of publishing a book and using your collection as the models??
