Liner Chinstrap
Hi All
I recently aquired two Liner Chinstraps that are in near mint cond. Please let me know what you think. Both were purchased many years ago as NOS from WW2. They are as follows:
#1. Green Steel Guarder hooks
Brass black buckle
United carr rivet under buckle
Unmarked rivet on hook end.
#2 Green steel Gaurder hooks
Black Steel Buckle with Pat Number
United Carr Rivet under Buckle
Unmarked brass rivet on Hook end
Is it common to see a chinstrap with United
Carr on one rivet and the other unmarked? I believe the Brass buckle without patent # is mid to late 1944, and the Steel with patent number would be late 44 or early 45.
Please let me know your thoughts...
Thanks
Charlie
